Profile information — a username and an optional profile photo you choose to upload.
Content you submit — comments and feedback you post in the App, which are stored together with your username and profile picture.
Information collected automatically:
Location — with your permission, your device's location is used to show nearby springs and to center the map. Location is used while you use the App and is not stored as a location history by us.
App activity — data needed to run features you use, such as your favorites, viewing history, and game scores.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
Show nearby springs and accommodations on the map.
Save your favorites, history, comments, and game scores.
Send account-related emails, such as email verification and password resets.
Operate, maintain, and improve the App.
Keep the App secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
We share information only as needed to run the App:
Service providers — we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, and cloud functions), Google Maps, and an email delivery service. These providers process data on our behalf.
Third-party sign-in providers — if you choose to sign in with them.
Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.
Your comments and username are visible to other users within the App.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including authenticated access tokens for account actions. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we remove your associated personal data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Location — you can enable or disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Account data — you can view and update your profile in the App, and you can delete your account to remove your data.
Access and deletion — you may contact us to request access to or deletion of your personal information.
Delete your account — you can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: open the Account tab, scroll to the bottom of your Profile, tap Delete account, and confirm. This permanently removes your account, favorites, history, comments, and profile picture.
7. Children's Privacy
מאחורי ההר - Over the hill is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you consent to this processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
